♥ Take your best friend on a play date to the petting zoo. Spend the entire day taking silly pictures together.
♥ Find a shop or cafe where they sell fresh tea leaves. Splurge on a delicious fruit tea, and make a huge pitcher of iced tea.
♥ Next time you are on a toll road, pay for the person behind you as well as yourself.
♥ Go to the drug store and buy a (cheap) shade of eye shadow you don’t think would ever work on you. Spend a few hours experimenting, and make it work! Try blending it with more neutral colors if you think it is a bit too over the top.
♥ Sign up for the Indulgences weekly newsletter. It comes out every Tuesday, and is an extra dose of fun!
xoxo,
Cedar

♥ Challenge your roommate to a game of Trivial Pursuit. Whoever loses has to cook and clean dishes.
♥ Find some tacky artwork from the thrift store. Go to town on personalizing it, still incorporating some of the old painting in your own.
♥ Go rent or buy Sweeney Todd. It is out on video today!!
♥ Splurge on bath salts and all sorts of girly bath accessories. If you don’t already, start taking more nice hot baths….so soothing!
♥ Make yourself a nice big thermos of hot tea and go find a quite place outdoors to sit and enjoy your surroundings. Bring a book, a sketch pad, or a notebook and just relax.

♥ Organize a bowling night for you and a group of friends. Most bowling alleys have one night a week that is discounted, find out when that is so you can save money on shoe and lane rentals.
♥ Pull out your blender, some rainbow sherbet, and any fresh fruit you have. Go to town making delicious smoothie style drinks. If you are feeling saucy add a little liquor!
♥ Go to your local library and spend some time in the children’s section. Look for all the books you remember reading as a child.
♥ Spend extra time primping for your next outing. Overdress a little, so all eyes are on you!
♥ Make marshmallow taffy! Squish marshmallows together for a few minutes until taffy is formed. Make sure to have access to a sink or handy wipes before you start….this is a guaranteed mess!

♥ Plan a breakfast in bed for you and your honey on your next day off together. Prepare everything you can the night before, buy some champagne and orange juice for mimosas, and get up a few minutes early, to start cooking!
♥ Start a blog! Dedicate it to all your favorite things, and share your wonderful life with the world!
♥ Take a lesson at your local craft store on decorating cakes. This is a great way to wow your friends and family on their birthdays!
♥ Take a break from your chores for a week and hire a maid! Have them do the dirty work, while you enjoy the extra bits of time.

♥ Go to the library and check out some kids craft books. Use them for inspiration in more “grown up” crafts. Organize a craft night for you and some girlfriends.
♥ Grab a friend or two and buy some balloons. Run through the park with a balloon tied to your wrist!
♥ Buy a postcard with a picture of your town at the drug store and send it to a friend or family member who lives nearby.
♥ Buy a bag of oranges and squeeze them all. Put the juice in the fridge so you can have fresh squeezed orange juice for breakfast for a few mornings.
♥ Get a makeover at a makeup counter in your favorite department store. |

♥ Make a huge bowl of chocolate chip cookie dough, and store it in the freezer. Snack on it whenever you need your sugar fix!
♥ Go to the salon for a shampoo and blow dry. What could be more relaxing than sitting back while someone massages your scalp, and then styles your hair?!
♥ Download the Platters Greatest Hits album. Love them.
♥ Go rollerskating! Really, when was the last time you had a pair of skates on? Find out when adult night is at your local rollerink, then you wont have to worry about kids darting in front of you. |

♥ Take a break from the celebrity blogs. Really, I only say this because I am extremely guilty. Are Britney’s troubles or Angelina’s potential pregnancy really that important with what is going on in your life?
♥ Plan a cocktail party for a month from now. Invite three or four (or more if you are daring!) friends, and start planning now! Read my guide on how to throw a swanky cocktail party.
♥ Write a letter to someone who has hurt you in the past. Tell them exactly how you feel, and exactly what they did to hurt you. Read over it twice, then put it in the paper shredder.
♥ Make graham crackers with peanut butter and bananas for a snack. Yum!
♥ Introduce yourself to some new music. I know most people don’t have record players, but if you do go to the thrift store and pick up a bunch of records with cool covers (that way, if you don’t like the music you still have something to decorate your walls with). If you don’t have a player, download something new….whichever you do, come back and tell us about it! I am always looking for new music to get into in! |

Photo by Thomas Claveirole♥ Decorate your clothes. Go to the craft store and stock up on puffy paints. Paint cute designs on your canvas shoes. Pull out the Bedazzler and go to town on those old tees sitting around your closet!
♥ Paint a portrait of your cat, dog, hamster or canary. Frame it and hang it on the mantle.
♥ Put on your beret, go to your favorite bakery and treat yourself to a great big eclair. Really, is their anything more sinfully wonderful?
♥ Go vote (if you are in America, of age, and in a state with elections)! It is so, so, so important that we all contribute to this country to try to improve it for our future. Do it for yourself, and do it for the rest of the country. |

♥ Buy a bag of M&M’s and eat your favorite color out of the bag.
♥ Go for a walk in the morning and pick some rosemary from a neighborhood bush. Use it to cook your eggs or breakfast potatoes.
♥ Download the soundtrack to your favorite Disney movie. Play it in the car and sing along on your drive to work.
♥ Go to the library and spend an hour looking through travel books. Plan out future vacations in your mind.
♥ Spend an evening pampering yourself. Give yourself a manicure, facial, and deep condition your hair. Put in the girliest movie or TV show you can think of, and order some takeout! |

♥ Make a collage. Cut out all your favorite images from some magazines and paste them on some poster board, a newspaper rack, or a wooden jewelry box. Add glitter, confetti and puffy paints to further personalize.
♥ Make a grown up root beer float with vanilla ice cream and root beer flavored schnapps.
♥ Go to the drug store, and buy a shade of lipstick you have always liked, but were afraid to try. Look for the $2 Wet and Wild so that you aren’t wasting too much money in case it looks terrible!
♥ Go shopping without any money (or credit cards!). Make a list of things you like, and buy them from eBay instead!
♥ Rent your favorite childhood TV show on DVD from your local rental place. Pop some popcorn, and let the memories come pouring in. Unfortunately for me, my all time favorite kid show (Lady Lovely Locks) is not available on DVD. I will have to rent my other favorite show, Gumby!
Now what about you? What are you doing this week for yourself to feel fabulous?? And….I am dying to know, what was your favorite childhood TV show? |

♥ Buy yourself a plant, name it, read it a story, and sing to it!
♥ Smile when you answer the phone.
♥ Plan an outfit inspired by your favorite movie. I’m watching the Virgin Suicides, who knows what I will come up with! |

♥ Invest in a good pair of gold heels. I just adore gold as a color, I can put anything gold on and I feel like a queen. A good pair of gold heels goes with almost any outfit, and is a staple in my wardrobe.
♥ Discover your signature scent. I absolutely love smelling a scent and having it bring back memories of someone I love who wears it. My signature scent is tuberose.
♥ Have a candlelight dinner with your honey or your best girlfriend. No worries if you can’t cook, order food to go, and serve it on plates, or eat your Chinese takeout right out of the box!
♥ Paint your toenails a new color. Whether it is fluorescent purple, fire engine red, or cotton candy pink. Find a new color to fall in love with!
♥ Buy yourself some flowers! Nothing brightens my morning like a beautiful bunch of flowers on my kitchen table.
What have you done lately that made you feel fabulous? Do you have something you regularly do for yourself that always makes you feel extraordinary? |
